Our coaches

Your child will benefit from the care, experience and enthusiasm of our fully-trained coaches, accredited with the Australian Sports Foundation National Coaching Accreditation Scheme and the Calisthenics Association of WA.

Many of our coaches also have experience participating in and coaching state calisthenic teams and representatives. Two of our coaches are trained school teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience in bringing out the personal best in children with varying skills and abilities.



Natalie Trew

Sub-Juniors (Tuesday) coach and head coach

Natalie began calisthenics in the 1980s as a member of the Carine Calisthenic Club. She started her coaching journey with Carine and went on to coach at Northside (now Athena) and Floreat Calisthenics Club.

Natalie was a founder of the Quinns Calisthenics Club. In the 1990s Natalie was a Sub-Juniors coach for the Calisthenic Association of Western Australia's State Team.

Natalie is a highly valued and dedicated member of our coaching team, having been with our college for more than 10 years. Her exceptional training of our Sub-Juniors team saw them place first in team competitions in 2020, 2021 and 2023 and her Juniors team place first in 2024.

Natalie provides outstanding mentoring and support to our coaches, cadets and committee. In 2025, she will coach our Sub-Juniors Team 1.


 

Annalise Santoro

Sub-Juniors (Tuesday) coach

Annalise has been a member of our college since 2010. In 2025, we are delighted to announce she will coach our Sub-Juniors Team 2. 

Annalise's dedication to our club and the sport makes her an outstanding role model for our members. Annalise participates in solo, duo and graceful competitions each year.

Annalise is grateful for her 'cali family', who over the years have become some of her best friends. She loves performing 'free arm', learning new tricks and helping our younger members find the passion she has for calisthenics.

Annalise represented Western Australia in the Calisthenic Association of WA (CAWA) State Team in 2021 and 2022. She received Imperial's 'Most Dedicated Member Award' in 2014 and 2020.




Chloe Haliburton

Sub-Juniors (Thursday) coach

Chloe joined Imperial Calisthenic College as a Junior in 2018. During her 8 years at our college Chloe has enjoyed many team, solo and duo successes.

We are excited to announce that in 2025 Chloe will coach our Sub-Juniors Team 3.


 

Pam Bartlett

Sub-Juniors (Thursday) coach and coach mentor

Pam brings expertise and passion to our college. As both a coach and mentor, she has taught countless students, instilling discipline, technique, and a love for the sport.

Beyond her role as a coach, Pam also serves as an adjudicator at calisthenic competitions. Her keen eye and constructive feedback help shape our team routines, pushing us to new heights of achievement.

Pam nurtures the development of our coaching team, guiding them with wisdom and encouragement.


 

Cassandra Smith

Juniors coach and coach mentor

Cassandra has been a mentor and coach at our college since 2019. In 2025, she looks forward to coaching our Juniors Team 1.

Her experience participating in and coaching calisthenics over many years is evident in the professionalism and passion she brings to our college.

Cassandra coaches many of our members' calisthenic solos, duos and graceful solos and is a Calisthenic Skills Program examiner. Our members benefit from her meticulous training, often achieving outstanding results.

Cassandra is also an adjudicator for the sport and her knowledge and skills are invaluable sources of advice and support for our coaching team.



Kaitlyn (Katie) Scherini

Juniors coach

Katie joined Imperial in 2014 as a member of our Sub-Junior team. Fast forward to 2024 and Katie started her coaching journey, leading our Juniors Team 2 to success with a first place in both the Betty Fitzpatrick and State Championships. In 2025, Katie looks forward to coaching once again with our Juniors team.

In 2022 and 2023 Katie represented WA as a member of the Western Australia (WA) State Team. Katie was also a member of the 2019 and 2021 WA Frangipani Team. The team competed at the Frangipani Challenge in Darwin and placed first overall at both events.

Katie's favourite thing about calisthenics is the friends she has made over the years.


 

Scarlett Johnstone

Juniors coach

Scarlett has been a member of our college since 2012. She is thrilled to achieve her long-time goal in 2025 by becoming part of our coaching team, working with the Juniors Team 2.

Scarlett loves performing with her friends as part of a team and is just as enthusiatic about participating in calisthenic solo, duo and graceful competitions each year. She has represented WA 5 times in the CAWA State Team. Scarlett and her WA teammates are 3-time national champions.

She received Imperial's 'Most Dedicated Member Award' in 2017 and 2024.
